When it comes to cocktails, you need two things: the right recipe and the right ingredients. Here at Hickey’s Wine & Spirits, we’ve been providing both in Worcester County for more than 100 years! Today, we’d like to share with you some of our favorite alcoholic drinks from our cocktail recipe book, which you can download for free below. We hope you enjoy these drinks—and feel free to come into our store for more cocktail ideas and all the fixings you’ll need to make them!
Three of Our Favorite Cocktail Recipes
Below are three of our favorite cocktail recipes, but we’ve got more! Make sure to download our free recipe book here: Hickey’s Cocktail Recipe Booklet.
Mint Julep Recipe
If your friends have only tried Mojitos, it’s time to make them a Mint Julep. You should use a bourbon whiskey, and if you’d like to stay close to its roots in the Kentucky Derby, make sure to use your favorite from the Bluegrass State. Make sure to make the mint simple syrup the night before.
French 75 Recipe
This summer drink has quite a history, which always makes for a fun anecdote while you’re mixing it up for a party. Created in New York during World War I, the combination of gin and champagne was said to have such a kick that it felt like being shelled with the powerful French 75mm field gun.
Boozy White Hot Chocolate Recipe
Perfect for a sweet tooth in winter, this hot chocolate cocktail combines fancy hot cocoa with bourbon or Kahlua. We recommend this with white chocolate, but standard chocolate works as well—make sure to add sugar or simple syrup if you’re using anything less sweet than milk chocolate.
